Moyes: It’s hard with less money

Everton - David MoyesEverton boss David Moyes remains determined to bring in some new faces, but admits that his chances of signing players has been damaged by some of the big money spending.

Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester United and even Portsmouth have already been spending big ahead of next season, while Everton have so far only spent £4million on Phil Jagielka from Sheffield United.

“I think there has been some irresponsible buying and spending by some clubs, and it makes it a bit more difficult if you’ve got less money to spend than that,” Moyes told the club’s official website.

“We’d like to add to the squad and I know the supporters are desperate to see new faces coming in, no more so than me, but things out there in the market are tight.

“But we are certainly doing everything we can to strengthen the squad and give ourselves a chance.

“We’ve done it that way for the past few years and we’ll continue to do so.”

I can’t see why we have less to spend than the likes of Pompey, it’s the same TV deal. Stop moaning Moyes!
